The health IT company is reinforcing its security credentials amid the spate of cyberattacks against the healthcare industry.
The deal is expected to close this year.
According to the Boston Globe, the layoffs affect less than 3% of the company's workforce.
Diagnostics testing company Simple HealthKit, children's mental health platform Fort Health and Parkinson's disease-focused company Newel Health also received funding.  
The layoffs come weeks after the company said it will stop offering patient care services.

The company will use the funds to expand its services into other sectors of the healthcare market.
